Citrix sessions are not started, XenAppExecuter has encountered a problem

Problem

When you start a load test the Citrix Sessions keeps giving a message XenAppExecuter has encountered a problem.

 

Solution

When UAC is enabled on the LoadGen Agent the XenAppExecuter is not allowed to start. In the LoadGen Agent log, you can find access denied messages.

 

  1. Open the Registry Editor.
  2. Remove the Citrix items from the following locations:
    1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
    2. EnableLUA to 0
