LoadGen Cloud 2025‑Q4
We are thrilled to introduce our Q4‑2025 release of LoadGen Cloud! This update delivers a wealth of new capabilities and enhancements across the platform, with a particular focus on expanding SessionSight’s analytics and license management functionality, strengthening our backend infrastructure with InfluxDB, and improving developer productivity through reusable components and streamlined security. Our goal this quarter has been to provide deeper insights, greater flexibility, and improved usability for all customers.
New Features and Enhancements
Performance and Infrastructure
- Influx database implementation – We've built out the initial InfluxDB integration to support metrics and analytics for the LoadGen suite.
- InfluxDB testing – Added comprehensive testing suites to ensure reliability and correctness of the new InfluxDB integration.
- InfluxDB authorization – Introduced an authorization layer for InfluxDB connections, improving security when accessing time-series data.
- Improved secrets management – Enhanced how sensitive data, such as API keys and tokens, are stored and handled, aligning with best practices for secret management.
Dashboards and Frontend
- Reusable Angular components – Our Angular UI components are now more reusable, making it easier to build and extend the LoadGen Cloud frontend and ensuring a consistent look and feel across the application.
API and Load & Performance Testing
- Scenario API endpoints – Added new API endpoints that allow you to create and manage test scenarios programmatically within LoadGen Load and Performance Testing. This enables deeper automation and integration with your CI/CD pipelines.
LoadGen SessionSight
SessionSight continues to evolve toward general availability, bringing powerful session analytics to the LoadGen ecosystem. In this release, we have focused on building out core functionality, improving user visibility, and expanding integration capabilities:
- License management – Added a full license management component for SessionSight, including APIs to query and manage license usage and support for supplemental licenses.
- Analytics API – Implemented an analytics API to expose session metrics and reporting directly to your applications and dashboards.
- Container overview API – Created endpoints to provide insight into container data structures and statuses, helping administrators monitor SessionSight’s internal operations.
- Sessions API – Added endpoints to retrieve and manage session data, enabling real‑time insights into user journeys.
- Licenses component and license APIs – Developed a dedicated licenses component and API to unify license data management.
- Unit testing – Added a robust unit test suite to SessionSight to ensure stability and regression coverage.
- DTO naming conventions – Enforced consistent naming conventions for all API DTOs, improving developer ergonomics and API clarity.
- Component consistency – Improved consistency across SessionSight components, ensuring uniform behaviour and presentation throughout the module.
- Redundant data storage removal – Removed soon‑to‑be‑redundant storage of API data in the database, reducing storage requirements and simplifying maintenance.
- Dashboard visuals and design – Refreshed SessionSight dashboards with improved visuals and layout to enhance readability and usability.
- API changes – Implemented several API changes across SessionSight to support new features and streamline existing endpoints.
- Supplemental license support and accurate counts – Added support for supplemental licenses in the License Management component and ensured that license counts display correctly everywhere.
- Organization Units support – Added Organisation Unit support across SessionSight, allowing you to segment data and dashboards by organisational structure.
- Filtering and search– Introduced filtering capabilities to the main table components, enabling you to search and filter session and license data quickly.
We remain committed to evolving SessionSight as a key part of the LoadGen ecosystem. As SessionSight moves closer to a full release, these enhancements lay the foundation for sophisticated session analytics and deeper integration with LoadGen testing solutions.
