Insight Collector Installation
The LoadGen Insight Collector gathers performance data from your LoadGen tests and monitoring sessions, sending it to your configured database.
Overview
The Collector runs as part of the LoadGen Agent and automatically captures:
- Transaction response times
- Sub-transaction measurements
- Error counts and types
- System performance counters
- Custom metrics
Installation
The Insight Collector is included with the LoadGen Agent installation. No separate installation is required.
Verify Collector Status
1. Open LoadGen Director
2. Navigate to Tools → LoadGen Agents
3. Check that agents show "Connected" status
4. Verify data is flowing to your dashboard
Configuration
Cloud-Hosted (LoadGen Cloud)
For LoadGen Cloud deployments, the Collector is pre-configured:
1. Log in with your LoadGen Cloud credentials
2. Data automatically flows to your tenant
3. View results in app.loadgen.cloud
Self-Hosted Database
Configure the Collector to send data to your database:
1. Open LoadGen Configurator
2. Navigate to Insight Settings
3. Enter your database connection string
4. Save and restart the LoadGen services
Data Collection
What is Collected

Collection Frequency
- Real-time during test execution
- Aggregated summaries for long-running tests
- Configurable sampling for high-volume scenarios
Troubleshooting
No Data Appearing
1. Verify Agent connectivity in LoadGen Director
2. Check database connection settings
3. Review LoadGen Agent logs for errors
4. Ensure firewall allows outbound connections
Data Delays
- Check network latency to database server
- Verify database has sufficient resources
- Consider adjusting batch size for large tests
