LoadGen FrontEnd

  • Catalog-Driven New Uptime Check Wizard with 17 New Built-In Check Types — the wizard now opens on a two-pane catalog browser (groups on the left, detail on the right, with search and a pinned "Custom (advanced)" leaf) covering 22 check types in total, including TCP/UDP/ICMP reachability, DNS resolution and authority, WHOIS expiry, NTP clock offset, SMTP/FTP/SSH banners, HTTP header probes, regex content checks, TLS cipher and HSTS checks, SSL certificate chain checks, and PowerShell / Custom Plugin scripted checks. Picking a tile pre-fills the wizard with sensible defaults and tags
  • PowerShell and Plugin Check Authoring — a new "Plugin configuration" sub-form on the Endpoint step lets operators specify a provider key, script path, and free-form parameter map (with Add/Remove buttons) for PowerShell-flavoured checks, plus an Advanced collapsible for Custom Plugin assembly path / entry type overrides
  • Per-Type Endpoint Step — the Endpoint step now adapts to the chosen check type: the label/placeholder/hint switch (Host:Port for TCP, NTP Server for NTP, etc.), HTTP method is exposed for the Web\* family, and a new "Check options" section renders parameter inputs for the 9 parameter-driven types (DNS, WHOIS warn days, NTP max offset, regex pattern + must-match, custom HTTP header name, etc.)
  • Group and Tag Filtering on the Uptime Checks list — the Service Type filter now organises 22 options into 6 logical groups (Web/API, Database, Cloud, Network, Certificate, Plugin); a new Group filter appears when catalog-aware checks exist; clickable tag chips above the table toggle a tag filter; PowerShell and Plugin badges plus a hover-tooltip with the provider name appear on the Name column, and a folder breadcrumb appears beneath the name when the check belongs to a group
  • Defensive Catalog Loader — the catalog now tolerates older and newer variants of the per-check Signals field, so the wizard cannot be locked out by an appliance shipping a future or older variant; unknown signals degrade safely
  • Test & Inspect signal-aware response renderer — Test & Inspect now picks the right response panel per check type instead of always trying to parse the response as JSON. SSH/SMTP/FTP banners, DNS resolves, SQL row counts, NTP offsets, WHOIS expiry days, plugin output, TLS handshake details and plain-text HTTP responses each get a dedicated panel with appropriate metric tiles or a plain-text view; a "Use selection" button lets operators highlight any text in the panel and create a Contains assertion in one click; the JSON inspector still applies for genuine JSON responses
  • Cleaner "These fields will be ignored" banner — the warning that surfaces when a field doesn't apply to the selected check type is now an amber self-styled card with three clear actions (Clean these fields, Dismiss, Continue anyway), and internal runtime flags are filtered out of the field list
  • Field Gating on Alert Profiles scoped to a check type — when an alert profile's scope filter restricts to a specific Uptime service type, fields the chosen type cannot produce (e.g. SQL Result on a Ping check) appear disabled in the threshold-expression dropdown with a "not applicable" suffix, and existing rows referencing them surface an amber inline note
  • Uptime Signal Taxonomy with Alert-Profile Field Gating — alert profiles now know which fields each check type produces (status code, response body, SSL certificate, banner text, SQL result, plugin output, NTP offset, WHOIS expiry days, etc.) and visually disable inapplicable fields so operators cannot author conditions that will never fire
  • Wrapped Save / Test response with applicability warnings — the wizard now stays on the page after a save that flags non-applicable fields, surfaces the field list in the banner, and offers a one-click Clean re-save; legacy checks edited in the new wizard get the same treatment automatically
  • Fixed the catalog browser pane growing to push the right-hand detail pane below the fold; the catalog now has its own internal scrollbar with the "Custom (advanced)" leaf pinned at the bottom and the search box pulled inside the grid
  • Fixed the locked Service Type field in the wizard rendering as an oversized empty box
  • Fixed the Uptime dashboard surfacing "(StatusCode)" as a stray empty parenthetical on non-HTTP checks
  • Fixed the "Test Request" button on the Uptime wizard so it now reliably populates the Response Body card on success
