Configuration: Run-As Profiles
Deprecated. Run-As Profiles were replaced by Credential Profiles. Use Configuration: Credential Profiles for all new work.
What replaced this page
Run-As Profiles stored the Windows domain account a test ran under. Credential Profiles store the same Windows Run-As accounts and, on their own tabs, the other credential types the Platform uses: Basic authentication, SQL, API key, bearer token, service principal, Azure Function key, custom headers, OAuth2 and platform tokens.
The page is still reachable in the UI as Run-As Profiles (legacy mirror) so existing entries stay visible. Profiles that existed before the change were migrated automatically and carry the tag migrated from Run-as profile on the Credential Profiles page, so nothing has to be re-created by hand.
Where to go instead
| To do this | Go to |
|---|---|
| Add or edit a credential | Configuration > Credential Profiles |
| Find a profile from before the change | Configuration > Credential Profiles, look for the tag migrated from Run-as profile |
| Store a credential that is not a Windows account | Configuration > Credential Profiles, then the tab for that credential type |
