LoadGen Developer & API Documentation

LoadGen Developer & API Documentation

Looking for the LoadGen On-Prem API, MCP Server, or Cloud API documentation? You're in the right place — here's where it lives now and how to get access.

We've given the developer docs a new home

LoadGen's developer documentation now lives in a dedicated documentation portal built just for it. It's a faster, easier-to-search home for everything API- and automation-related — and because these references describe how to drive and integrate with your LoadGen environment, the portal is available to LoadGen customers rather than published on the open web.

If you previously bookmarked an API or MCP page here in the Help Center, no worries — the same content (and more) now lives in the portal. Request access below and we'll point you straight to it.

Why we moved it

We didn't do this to make life harder — quite the opposite. The dedicated portal lets us give you:

  • Customer-only access. These docs cover the inner workings of LoadGen's automation and integration APIs. Keeping them behind sign-in protects that detail and keeps it in the hands of the people who actually run LoadGen — you.
  • Always up to date. The portal is generated straight from each LoadGen release, so what you read always matches the version you're running. No more stale endpoints or examples.
  • Much nicer to use. Instant full-text search, clean navigation grouped by API area, and copy-and-go code samples (curl and PowerShell) for every endpoint and tool.

What you'll find in the portal

Everything you need to automate, integrate, and build on top of LoadGen:

  • On-Prem API — the REST API on your LoadGen appliance. Configure LoadGen, control agents, start and monitor tests, pull results, and wire LoadGen into your CI/CD pipelines.
  • MCP Server — LoadGen's Model Context Protocol tools, so an AI assistant can run load tests, manage configuration, and analyze results through natural-language requests.
  • Cloud API — the REST API for the LoadGen Cloud platform: accounts and tenants, licensing, agents and scheduling, monitoring, billing, and more.

Each section includes authentication guidance, full endpoint/tool references (parameters, responses, and notes), and ready-to-run examples.

How to get access — it's quick

If you're a LoadGen customer, just reach out and we'll get you set up:

1. Email support@loadgen.com from your work email address, or open a support ticket from your LoadGen support account.

2. Tell us your organization name (and your LoadGen product or environment, if you know it) so we can match your request to your account.

3. We'll reply with your portal link. Sign in with your LoadGen account and you're in.

Working as a team? Let us know — we're happy to set your colleagues up too.

Frequently asked questions

I'm evaluating LoadGen and not a customer yet — can I still see the docs?

Please do reach out. Email us at support@loadgen.com and we'll help you find what you need for your evaluation.

Is there any extra cost for portal access?

No — access to the developer documentation is included for LoadGen customers.

I had a direct link to an old API article. Is it gone?

The old Help Center API pages are being retired, but the content lives on in the portal and is kept current with every release. Request access and we'll send you its new home.

Can my whole team get access?

Yes. Just mention who needs access when you reach out, and we'll take care of it.

I have a question about the API itself, not access.

Our support team is happy to help with anything API- or integration-related — email support@loadgen.com any time.
