Release LoadGen FrontEnd: 1.0.0.12097

LoadGen FrontEnd

This is a large release. It introduces a new Analyse workspace (BI dashboards, saved charts, and reporting), a reworked API Testing visual flow editor with an expanded node library, major SessionSight journey-discovery and replay improvements, and Insight charting and monitoring — plus a broad batch of fixes across the appliance UI.

  • Analyse — a new dashboards, charts, and reporting workspace (LG051) — LoadGen gains a full Analyse section:

- BI dashboards you build with drag-and-drop panels — line, area, bar, stacked, pie/donut, gauge, single-stat, table, and scatter charts — with time-range and auto-refresh controls, panel sharing, and per-dashboard access control (view / edit / share). Start from templates or an empty dashboard.

- Analysis workbench for composing ad-hoc analyses (compare, trends, percentiles, distribution, correlation, transactions) against your test results, previewing the chart, and saving it to a dashboard.

- Saved charts — save a single chart into a named folder with a thumbnail preview, then browse, open, rename, move, or re-edit it later.

- Reports — generate branded PDF or XLSX reports from customizable templates, preview PDFs inline, and download the output.

- AI Copilot that can narrate insights on your dashboards and analyses.

  • [#9157] Analyse, Test Analysis, and Reports feedback batch — a large set of improvements driven by customer feedback:

- Full chart editing — the pencil on a saved chart reopens it in the builder with everything prefilled, and an Update chart action saves the changes (and a fresh thumbnail) back onto the same chart.

- Custom dual-axis charts — overlay transaction timing against performance counters, with cascading Category → Counter → Instance pickers, per-machine breakdowns, raw-scatter vs aggregate views, and an outcome (all / success / failed) filter.

- Bottleneck tab on Test Analysis — overlays measurement timing (average + P90) with the top performance counters on a shared time axis, mirroring the classic "combine CPU with timing" bottleneck chart.

- Redesigned report template editor — collapsible sections with drag-and-drop reordering and "insert here" between sections, rich-text editing with a formatting toolbar, per-section AI drafting, a live split preview, image and cover/branding controls, starter templates, inline validation, and a Table of Contents section.

- Saved charts in reports — drop any saved chart into a report section; it is re-rendered for the report's chosen run.

- Clearer percentile captions, redesigned correlation view (two series over time on dual axes with a plain-language read-out), multi-select applications/measurements, an averaging choice (default off) on resource charts, and consistent axis titles and legends.

  • API Testing — reworked visual flow editor and expanded node library — the flow editor received a major upgrade:

- An honest node palette that clearly marks nodes that aren't runnable yet (dimmed, with the reason on hover) so you can't build a flow that silently fails.

- New node configuration forms — GraphQL requests, WebSocket/SSE real-time requests, sandboxed pre-/post-request JavaScript, CSV datasets for data-driven testing, database lookups against a configured datasource, and header assertions.

- Per-request authentication — inherit the flow default or override it for a single request.

- Editor ergonomics — one-click Capture from response, an Add assertion snippet library, click-to-copy variable chips with response hints, a server-backed Validate Flow, and node outputs shown in the run inspector.

- Starter templatesBlank and Login & reuse token quick-create buttons build a correct flow to start from instead of assembling one node by node.

- A Flaky Nodes card in Flow Analytics that surfaces intermittently-failing nodes with their recent pass/fail history and a flakiness score.

  • SessionSight — user-journey path discovery, richer heatmaps, and replay search

- The Journeys page is reworked into a path-discovery experience: mine real page-navigation sequences into a ranked list of paths and an offline path graph, see per-path conversion rates, optionally enrich a path with end-to-end monitoring performance, edit URL-normalization rules, export any path to an .lgs workload, and promote a path to a monitoring profile.

- Heatmaps now render full-width with a proper gradient renderer, and a lower default threshold means pages with sparse clicks still show data (and stay listed).

- The replay Event Log gains free-text search and an event-type filter with per-type counts, so finding a click, form, or error no longer means endless scrolling.

  • Insight — charting in Analyse, logon monitoring, and UX timing (LG055)

- Insight datasources are now a first-class chart family in the Analyse builder, with operations for system, process, and network performance, connections, UX timing, process events, and an inventory explorer — using rolling time ranges and cascading machine → user → process pickers — plus one-click starter dashboards.

- New machine-group configuration for Logon Monitoring (ControlUp-style per-phase logon breakdown: profile, Group Policy, FSLogix, Citrix, RDS/AVD, Horizon; Windows Insight agents) and Foreground Window Monitoring for application-launch (UX) timing.

- Every saved chart now carries a category — Load & Performance, End-to-End Monitoring, Insight, or Uptime — with filter chips and badges across the saved-chart surfaces.

  • [#8594] Added a Features: All ⟷ Licensed toggle in the sidebar footer that hides navigation sections and Home dashboard cards for modules you aren't licensed for (default shows everything, so the standard view is unchanged).
  • [#9172] Sidebar search now finds sub-pages and tabs — for example Proxy, SSL, Network (with DNS/IP aliases), CA Trust, and AI Providers — and links straight to the right tab.
  • [#9189] The load-profile wizard's Users & Agents step now explains that workload scripts (.lgs) are authored in LoadGen Studio and then uploaded or published to the appliance, and that users can be added before a workload exists; the "Add Users" helper points to Studio and the Upload Workload button when no workloads are present.
  • [#9179] Uptime alert emails now include the failing check's context — check name, target URL, check type, and failure reason — as ready-to-use template tokens, so an alert profile covering several checks makes clear which check failed and why.
  • [#9174] The Appliance Backup and Configuration Backup pages now cross-reference each other, so the difference between a full appliance snapshot and item-level configuration backups is discoverable from either page.
  • [#9166] Added a View Detailed Results button to the Test Details modal that opens the selected run's full analysis.
  • [#9145] On the Alerting → Profiles and Triggers pages the row name is now a clickable link that opens the editor, and the profile editor gains a View Selected Trigger button to inspect a profile's trigger without leaving the page.
  • [#9178] The Datasources page now shows an Active badge on the active datasource and explains what Activate does — it sets the default sink for items that don't specify their own datasource — so a datasource that already receives data no longer looks "inactive".
  • Fixed API Testing environment variables marked as secret not being saved as secret; a variable flagged secret now persists correctly and is masked on every read.
  • Fixed the API Testing flow editor breaking forEach loops and error-handlers — their branch connections are now preserved so loops iterate and failures route to the handler as designed. (Flows saved while the issue was present should be reopened and reconnected once.)
  • [#9188] Fixed the LoadGen Studio "Edit profile" link opening a 404 for Omnissa Horizon and other load-profile types; the edit button now opens the correct wizard for any technology.
  • [#9177] The HTTPS Setup wizard no longer shows a perpetual "Issuance in flight" spinner — it now shows elapsed time while a certificate is being issued, and a clear error with Cancel issuance and Retry actions if issuance fails or times out.
  • [#9176] The Sync Overview page now correctly shows the Master role and description after Promote to Master, instead of continuing to read Standalone while the connection card already showed Connected.
  • [#8506] The appliance System → Timezone card now shows a live, self-updating clock in the configured zone, instead of a time that drifted behind real time until the page was reloaded.
  • [#9148] Timezone labels for POSIX Etc/GMT±N zones now show the resolved offset (for example Etc/GMT-2 (UTC+02:00)), so they are no longer misread as the opposite offset.
  • [#8471] The New Maintenance Window dialog now defaults Start to the current time instead of rounding up to the next full hour.
  • [#9165] Fixed a cramped Uptime status overview on ~1470px-wide Mac displays; it now shows three readable columns in that width band, while larger screens are unchanged.
  • [#9180] On the appliance Updates page, a freshly downloaded version now sorts to the top of Archived Versions and the list has a clearly visible scrollbar, so a completed "Pull to appliance" download is obvious.
  • [#9167] When every SessionSight dashboard card fails for a backend reason, the page now shows a single clear error banner (pointing at the datasource connection) with a Retry button, instead of tiles that read like "no traffic".
  • [#9164] Fixed the "Preparing Infrastructure" dialog appearing to vanish partway through test start-up; it now reads as completed, and the Active cockpit shows a "Starting users — ramping up" state during the initial load ramp instead of looking frozen.
  • [#9156] The Live Event Stream table on the Active test page now aligns its columns row-to-row and adds a column header.
  • [#9158] Fixed the SessionSight "Sessions over time" chart labelling its x-axis with duplicate days on sparse data; the axis is now pinned to the selected window and single points render a visible marker.
  • [#9146] Fixed the Monitoring page time-range presets (1h / 4h / 8h / 24h / 7d) not redrawing the Trends chart until the next auto-refresh; the chart now updates immediately on click.
  • [#9157] Fixed corrupted decimal chart values in comma-decimal locales (for example Dutch / nl-NL), where a value such as 0.97 could render as a large integer. This affected every decimal line, bar, and scatter chart.
  • [#9157] Fixed saved-chart thumbnails not being captured, so charts no longer show a broken image after saving.
  • [#9157] Analytics, results, and monitoring timestamps are now shown in the appliance-configured timezone across the charts and tables that display them.
  • Fixed SessionSight data not being captured on Windows appliances — the tracking script and ingest path are now reachable, and the install snippet uses the site's public URL.
  • The load-profile wizard now saves and restores each user's pinned workload version, instead of always running the latest regardless of the selection.
