Release LoadGen Insight Agent: 1.0.0.11791

New Features

  • Linux Agent - The Insight Agent now runs natively on Linux, on both 64-bit Intel/AMD and ARM systems, with packages for Debian and Ubuntu, Red Hat and SUSE, and Alpine
  • Linux agents enroll against your LoadGen Platform, run as managed system services, and support Platform-initiated agent updates in the same way as Windows agents
  • Linux agents report the same systemperformancemetric, networkinterfacemetric, processperformancemetric, processperformancemetricconnection and processinformation_metric measurements as Windows agents, so existing dashboards and queries work unchanged
  • Linux machines report their own agent type, so you can tell them apart from Windows machines in machine groups
  • The enrollment key is stored encrypted on each Linux machine and is bound to that machine

Enhancements

  • Clearer InfluxDB Connection Diagnostics - When the agent cannot reach InfluxDB, for example The remote name could not be resolved: 'loadgen-influxdb', the Control service now logs the destination it is actually using, including the effective URL, organization, bucket and operating mode, at startup and whenever the configuration changes. The token is masked, so it is never written to the log in full. The result of the InfluxDB connection test is logged alongside it, so a single look at the log shows both where the agent is sending data and whether it got there.
