Manage test agents
Mode: the create and edit controls described on this page are shown in Expert mode (sidebar footer toggle Mode: Basic / Expert). In Basic mode the page shows only Refresh.
Overview
Use the agent pages to review Full, Core, and VDI agents, add a Full Agent, and find the row controls used to edit an existing agent.
Before you begin
- At least one agent type is available.
- Have the agent name and IP address ready if you plan to add an agent.
- If your agents are deployed as a Launcher Appliance rather than installed individually, enroll the appliance first on Launcher Appliances: Appliances. Its agents then appear on the pages below.
Steps
Step 1
Open the Full Agents page. Confirm the page title is LoadGen Full Agents and review Total Agents, Online, Offline, the Search field, Add Agent, and the agent table.
Step 2
Open the Core Agents page. Confirm the page title is LoadGen Core Agents and review the Core Agent limitation note, summary cards, Search field, Add Agent, and row Actions menus.
Step 3
Open the VDI Agents page. Confirm the page title is LoadGen VDI Agents and check whether the table lists agents or shows No VDI Agents configured.
Step 4
On the Full Agents page, click Add Agent. In Add Full Agent, enter Agent Name and IP Address, select a Credential Profiles if needed, expand Advanced Settings only when required, then choose Create Agent or Cancel. Agent Name and IP Address are required.
Step 5
On the LoadGen Full Agents page (Manage Full Agents, port 4840), find the agent and open its row Actions menu (the vertical dots). It offers Edit and Status; under Session, Logon, Logoff, Lock and Unlock; under Maintenance, Install, Uninstall, Reboot and Reset; and Kill Sessions and Delete. Add Agent above the table registers a new agent, and the counters show Total, Online and Offline agents.
Verify the result
You can see the Full, Core, and VDI agent pages, the Add Full Agent modal opens from Add Agent, and existing agents show row controls for available management actions.
Troubleshooting
- If VDI shows No VDI Agents configured, add or configure a VDI agent before expecting rows in the table.
- If Core Agent status actions are limited, use the page note as guidance: Core Agents only support limited operations, and live status checking may not be available.
- If a Full Agent shows Offline, confirm the address and port shown in the table, then use the available row Actions menu to run supported checks or maintenance actions.
- If the Add Full Agent form does not accept input, confirm Agent Name and IP Address are filled before selecting Create Agent.
