Manage workloads and add-in machines
Mode: the create and edit controls described on this page are shown in Expert mode (sidebar footer toggle Mode: Basic / Expert). In Basic mode the page shows only Refresh.
Overview
Use Configuration to review and maintain workload scripts, workload file storage, add-in machines, and virtualization resources used by tests.
Before you begin
- Testing module is licensed.
- Have any workload .lgs files available before uploading. Workload scripts are authored in LoadGen Studio and uploaded here.
- Have the required Citrix, Remote Desktop Services, Omnissa Horizon, or Azure Virtual Desktop details available before adding resources.
Steps
Step 1
Open Workloads. Use Search... to filter the workload table, click Upload Workload when you need to add a workload, and use the row action icons for workload actions such as uploading a new version or viewing history. See Configuration: Workloads for the full controls reference.
Step 2
Open Workload Files. Click Upload to add workload files, click New Folder to organize files, and select an item in Files & Folders to view its Details.
Step 3
Open Add-in Machines. Click Refresh to reload the list and confirm whether any add-in machines are configured for Citrix or Remote Desktop Services sessions. See Configuration: Add-in Machines for the full controls reference.
Step 4
Open Virtualization Resources. Review Omnissa Horizon and Azure Virtual Desktop, click Add Application for Horizon resources or Add Resource for Azure Virtual Desktop resources, and use Refresh to reload the sections. See Configuration: Virtualization for the full controls reference.
Verify the result
The Configuration pages show the expected workload entries, workload file folders or details, add-in machine status, and virtualization resource sections without error messages.
Troubleshooting
- If a workload is not listed, use Refresh on the Workloads page and check whether the file was uploaded to the correct folder.
- If the Workload Files Details panel stays empty, select a file or folder in Files & Folders first.
- If no add-in machines are shown, confirm that add-in machines have been configured outside this empty-state page before expecting rows to appear.
- If virtualization sections show no resources, add the Omnissa Horizon application or Azure Virtual Desktop resource from the matching section.
