Manage Systems Under Test (SUTs)
Overview
Use these pages to review the Systems Under Test configuration, the shared SUT machine registry, and reusable counter templates used for performance monitoring during load tests.
Before you begin
- At least one SUT is configured.
- LoadGen Agents can reach the machines you want to collect Windows Performance Counters from.
Steps
Step 1
Open the Systems Under Test list from Configuration. Review the Name, Machines, Templates, and Actions columns; use Search to find a specific SUT profile, or use the edit icon to open its configuration.
Step 2
Open Systems Under Test Machines. Review the machine registry; if the page shows No machines in the pool, use Add Machine to register a machine that can be referenced by SUT profiles.
Step 3
Open Counter Templates. Review existing templates; if the page shows No counter templates, use New Template to create a reusable performance counter collection.
To tune how counters are collected on an individual machine rather than through a template, use Configuration: Systems Under Test: PerfCounter Settings.
Verify the result
The SUT list shows the current machine and template counts for each profile.
Troubleshooting
- If the expected SUT profile is not visible, use the Search field on the Systems Under Test page and verify the profile name.
- If a SUT profile shows 0 machines, open Systems Under Test Machines and add the required machine before using it in the profile.
- If a SUT profile shows 0 templates, open Counter Templates and create or apply a template before assigning counters.
- If counter discovery times out while building a template, check the machine name, LoadGen Agent availability, and the run-as profile used for that machine.
