Release: LoadGen 2025‑Q4 – 5.0.0.11127

We are proud to announce the Q4 2025 release of LoadGen!

This update introduces new enhancements alongside critical bug fixes, improving stability, usability, and overall performance across the LoadGen Suite.

Our focus this quarter has been on giving administrators more control during installation, refining the Director’s test management experience, and ensuring reliability and accuracy in the Agent and Studio components.

LoadGen General

  • Omnissa Horizon branding – All references to VMware Horizon View have been updated to Omnissa Horizon throughout the application, ensuring consistency with the platform’s current branding.

LoadGen Director

- Dashboard ratio indicator – Added a dashboard ratio indicator in the Run Test window, providing real‑time insight into test progress and load distribution.

- Reduced logging exceptions – Fixed excessive exceptions appearing in logs during tests, resulting in cleaner logging for easier troubleshooting.

- User interface stability – Resolved a bug that could cause the Director’s interface to freeze during certain operations.

- Email field validation – Corrected an issue where email fields remained highlighted in red after information was added.

- AVD resource retrieval – Fixed a hard exception that occurred when retrieving resources for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.

- PNAgent resources after StoreFront changes – Resolved an issue where PNAgent resources appeared empty following StoreFront updates; resources now display correctly.

LoadGen Studio and LoadGen Functional Studio

- Control validation value storage – Fixed an issue where control validations did not save the value into the LastControlValue variable.

- Variable check reliability – Corrected a bug where variable checks failed to function as expected.

- Recorder scrollbars restored – Added missing scrollbars to the Recorder to improve navigation when working with long recordings.

- Upload progress indicator – Added a percentage progress indicator when uploading large .lgs files, giving users clear feedback during uploads.

- Global variables stability – Resolved exceptions caused by global variables in scripts.

- Window Action special character support – Fixed an issue where Window Action controls did not handle special characters, improving robustness.

- Optimised mouse clicks – Reduced the delay after a validation before a mouse click is performed, resulting in faster execution.

- Disposed button error resolved – Fixed a Recorder error where a “disposed button” could cause a crash.

- Repeat/Iteration settings – Resolved an issue where Repeat or Iteration values could not be changed.

- Recording enhancements – Improved the recording process to make it more intuitive and stable.

- Drag‑and‑drop block s – Restored the ability to drag and drop blocks within Studio for easier workflow organisation.

- Control validation image click – Resolved exceptions triggered when clicking images within control validations.

LoadGen Agent

- Manual installation support – Added support for manually installing the LoadGen Agent, giving administrators flexibility when automatic deployment is not possible.

- Service install checkbox fix – Resolved an issue where manually installing the service did not correctly set the Interact with user checkbox; manual installations now respect this setting.

- Improved resilience after network loss – Fixed a bug where the Core Agent stopped running after losing internet connectivity; the Agent now recovers gracefully after network interruptions.

- Automated legal notice acceptance – Added functionality to automatically click through legal notice dialogs during end‑to‑end FAT tests, removing the need for manual intervention.

- Linux credentials issue resolved – Fixed recurring credential issues when using the Core Agent on Linux systems.

- Correct wastetime calculations – Resolved incorrect calculations of idle and think time when determining wastetime metrics.

- UAI timeout adjustment for Citrix Enhanced – Increased the Unidentified Application Interface (UAI) timeout values for Citrix Enhanced profiles to prevent premature timeouts.

- FAT datasource iteration fix – Fixed an issue where FAT tests did not iterate over entries in the datasource; iterations now proceed as expected.

We encourage all users to update to the latest release to benefit from these improvements and to provide feedback for future releases. If you encounter any issues, please consult our knowledge base or contact LoadGen Support
