Analytics: Dashboard

Analytics: Dashboard

Overview

Use this page to review cross-feature health and performance metrics for a selected time period. The Analytics Dashboard aggregates a composite System Health score and per-feature summaries for API Testing, Uptime Monitoring, and End-to-End Monitoring into one view, letting you assess platform-wide status without visiting each feature section separately.

The dashboard sits at the top of the analytics area. Each feature must be configured and actively running before its summary card displays live data; cards for inactive features or periods with no activity show a No data placeholder. The scores and metric trends surfaced here inform decisions in Alerting and Service Levels, and serve as the starting point before drilling into deeper per-feature analysis.

On this page you can change the observation period, read the composite health score and per-feature status chips at a glance, inspect primary and secondary metrics for each feature, and expand the AI Dashboard Insights panel to read an AI-generated health narrative.

Key concepts

  • System Health - A composite numeric score from 0 to 100 that reflects the combined operational status of all active features. A score of 100 indicates all active features are healthy; lower scores signal degradation in one or more features. (related: feeds into Alerting: Triggers, where you define threshold-based alert conditions)
  • Feature health chip - A small status badge displayed next to the System Health gauge, one per feature. Healthy means the feature is active and reporting within normal parameters; Inactive means the feature has no recent activity or is not configured for the selected period.
  • Feature summary card - A panel showing the primary metric (success rate or availability percentage) and two secondary metrics (activity count and average response time) for a single feature within the selected period. A No data placeholder appears in the lower chart area when the feature produced no data in the chosen window.
  • AI Dashboard Insights - A collapsible panel that generates an AI-powered narrative summarizing current system health and per-feature metrics. Expanding it provides an automated interpretation of the data on the page without requiring navigation to individual feature sections. (related: complements the deeper analysis available in Analyse: Overview)

When to use it

  • You want a single-screen platform-wide health check before or after a load test run.
  • You are starting a shift handover and need to confirm all active features are healthy for the current period.
  • An alert has fired and you want to identify which feature area is affected before drilling into that section.
  • You want to scope health and performance metrics to a specific recent window, such as the 24 hours following a deployment.
  • You want an AI-generated summary of current platform health without exporting raw data from individual feature sections.

Before you begin

  • At least one feature — API Testing, Uptime Monitoring, or End-to-End Monitoring — must be configured and have completed checks or runs during the selected period; otherwise all feature summary cards display a No data placeholder.
  • To see API Testing metrics, at least one flow must be scheduled and have executed. Configure flows on the API Testing: Flows page.
  • To see Uptime Monitoring metrics, at least one check must be active and running. Configure checks on the Uptime Monitoring: Checks page.
  • To see End-to-End Monitoring metrics, at least one profile must be scheduled and have run. Configure profiles on the End-to-End Monitoring: Profiles page.

Common workflows

Check platform health for a specific time window

Persona: Load-test operator or administrator

1. Navigate to Analytics → Dashboard in the left-hand navigation.

- Expect: The Analytics Dashboard opens showing the System Health gauge, three feature health chips, and three feature summary cards scoped to the last 7 days.

2. Open the Period dropdown in the top-right and select the time window you want to inspect.

- Expect: All metrics on the page — System Health score, feature chip statuses, and summary card values — refresh to reflect data from the chosen period.

3. Review the System Health gauge score and the three feature health chips for API Testing, Uptime Monitoring, and E2E Monitoring.

- Expect: Each chip shows either Healthy or Inactive; a score below 100 or an Inactive chip identifies the feature that requires attention.

4. Select the AI Dashboard Insights bar at the bottom of the page to expand the panel.

- Expect: The panel opens and displays an AI-generated narrative summarizing health findings for the selected period.

Verify: The System Health gauge displays a numeric score with a color-coded ring and a status label, each feature chip reflects the correct state for the selected period, and the AI Dashboard Insights panel contains a readable narrative when expanded. Feature summary cards for active features show non-zero primary metrics and secondary counts.

Steps

Step 1

Navigate to Analytics → Dashboard in the left-hand navigation.

Expected result: The Analytics Dashboard opens, displaying the System Health gauge with a numeric score and Healthy status label, three feature health chips (API Testing shown as Inactive, Uptime Monitoring and E2E Monitoring shown as Healthy), three feature summary cards, and the collapsed AI Dashboard Insights panel — all scoped to the default 7-day period.

Opening the dashboard provides a unified cross-feature health view without navigating to each feature section individually.

  • The System Health gauge shows the numeric score (0–100) inside a color-coded ring; a green ring and a Healthy label beneath it indicate full health.
  • The three feature health chips — API Testing, Uptime Monitoring, E2E Monitoring — appear to the right of the gauge and each shows either Healthy or Inactive.
  • Each feature summary card shows a primary metric (Success Rate % or Availability %) as the large figure and two secondary metrics (activity count and Avg response time in ms) beneath it. A No data placeholder in the lower chart area means the feature produced no data in the selected period.
  • The Period dropdown in the top-right defaults to 7 days; change it to scope all page metrics to a different observation window.
  • The AI Dashboard Insights panel at the bottom is collapsed by default; select it to expand and read the AI-generated health narrative.

| Field | Purpose | Format / Validation | Required | Default |

|---|---|---|---|---|

| Period | Sets the time window applied to all metrics, scores, and charts on the dashboard. Choosing a shorter window (such as 1 day) surfaces recent changes and transient spikes; a longer window (such as 30 days) smooths short-lived anomalies and reveals sustained trends. Select the window that matches the event or baseline you are investigating. | Dropdown with predefined options; defaults to 7 days | No | 7 days |

AI Dashboard Insights

Expands a collapsible panel at the bottom of the page that displays an AI-generated narrative summarizing the System Health score, per-feature status chips, and notable metrics for the selected period.

When to use: Use when you want an automated interpretation of the health data visible on the page, or when you need a concise summary without manually reading each feature card.

Side effects: Read-only: expands the panel and triggers generation of an AI narrative. No platform data is modified.

Verify the result

The System Health gauge displays a score between 0 and 100 with a color-coded ring and a status label directly beneath it, and each feature health chip shows the correct state (Healthy or Inactive) for the selected period. Feature summary cards for active features display non-zero primary metrics and secondary counts; cards for inactive features or periods with no activity show a No data placeholder in the lower chart area. If all cards show No data despite active features, change the Period dropdown to a window that covers when those features last executed checks or runs. If the System Health score does not update after changing the Period, reload the page to force a fresh data fetch.

Troubleshooting

  • Symptom: A feature summary card shows No data even though the feature is configured. Fix: Change the Period dropdown to a window that includes dates when the feature last ran checks or tests; if no period shows data, verify the feature is active on its own dedicated dashboard page.
  • Symptom: The API Testing feature health chip shows Inactive. Fix: Navigate to API Testing: Flows and confirm that at least one flow has a schedule that executed within the selected period.
  • Symptom: The System Health score is below 100 but no feature chip shows Inactive. Fix: Expand the AI Dashboard Insights panel; the AI narrative may identify a partially degraded feature that has not yet crossed the Inactive threshold.
  • Symptom: Changing the Period dropdown does not refresh the metrics displayed. Fix: Reload the page; the Period filter is applied on load and after each selection, so a full reload forces a clean data request.
  • Symptom: The AI Dashboard Insights panel expands but remains empty with no content. Fix: Confirm your platform subscription includes AI insights; if the panel is still empty after a page reload, contact your administrator.
