SessionSight: Insights
Overview
The SessionSight Insights page displays AI-generated weekly summaries of marketing performance changes for your selected tenant and container. This page serves as a centralized view for understanding week-over-week trends and significant shifts in your marketing data without manually analyzing raw metrics. The insights are automatically generated on a weekly schedule once enabled and provide narrative summaries of what changed, helping marketing teams quickly identify performance improvements or issues that require attention.

Before you begin
- SessionSight insights must be enabled through configuration
- You need access to at least one tenant and container with marketing data
- Insights are generated on a weekly schedule, so recent weeks may not have data yet
- Your account must have permissions to view SessionSight analytics

Controls reference
Configure
Opens SessionSight configuration settings to enable or modify insight generation
When to use: When insights are disabled or you need to adjust generation settings
Side effects: Navigates to configuration page where insights can be enabled
Refresh
Reloads the current week's insight data from the server
When to use: After enabling insights or when checking for newly generated content
Side effects: Fetches latest insight data and updates the display
Previous week
Navigates to the previous week's insights
When to use: When reviewing historical weekly performance summaries
Side effects: Changes the Week field and loads insights for the earlier week
Next week
Navigates to the next week's insights
When to use: When moving forward through weekly insights or returning to current week
Side effects: Changes the Week field and loads insights for the later week
Common workflows
Enable and view weekly insights
Persona: Marketing analyst
1. Click Configure to access SessionSight settings
2. Enable weekly insight generation
3. Return to Insights page and click Refresh
4. Wait for the weekly schedule to generate first insights
5. Review AI-generated summary when available
Compare performance across weeks
Persona: Marketing manager
1. Select desired tenant and container filters
2. Use week navigation arrows to browse different time periods
3. Review insights for each week to identify trends
4. Note significant changes or patterns in the AI summaries
Steps
Step 1
Tenant dropdown filters insights to a specific organization. Container dropdown selects the application environment to analyze. Groups dropdown optionally segments analysis by tenant groups. Week field shows the current week selection with '(auto)' indicating automatic current week. Configure button opens settings to enable insight generation. Previous/Next week arrows navigate between time periods. Refresh button reloads insight data from the server.
Step 2
Refresh button is clicked to reload insight data. The page displays a status message indicating insights haven't been generated yet and require weekly schedule activation through configuration.
Verify the result
Successful insight viewing shows an AI-generated summary in the main content area instead of the empty state message. The summary includes narrative text describing marketing performance changes, key metrics, and week-over-week comparisons. Navigation between weeks should load different insights for each time period, and the Week field should update to reflect the selected period.
Troubleshooting
- If insights show 'No insight for this week yet', click Configure to enable weekly insight generation
- If the Refresh button doesn't update content, verify that insights have been enabled and the weekly schedule has run
- If week navigation shows empty insights, check that marketing data exists for those time periods
- If tenant or container dropdowns are empty, verify your account has access to SessionSight analytics data
