Analyze test runs and results
Overview
Use Test Runs to find historical executions, review trends, filter results, and open run details. For deeper analysis, dashboards, and formatted reports, use the Analyse module.
The Analyse module is present with four entry cards (Dashboards, Reports, Analysis, Datasources). Reports has Generate, Templates and History tabs: pick a template (for example "LoadGen Load & Performance Test Report"), the feature and the datasource, then click Generate report. Analysis runs an ad-hoc operation (Compare, Trends, Percentiles, Distribution, Correlate, Transactions, Resources, Bottleneck overlay) over a datasource and can save the result to a dashboard.
Before you begin
- At least one historical run exists.
- The load and performance testing module is licensed and active.
- For the Analyse pages, at least one datasource is configured. See Configuration: Datasources.
Steps
Step 1
In the left navigation, under TESTING, select Test Runs. The Test Runs page should show historical run results, not the license activation panel.
Step 2
Review the trend strip and results table. Use From, To, Load Profile, and Status to narrow the list, then select Search. Use Clear Filters to reset the filters or Refresh to reload the list.
Step 3
For deeper review, select a run from the results table and open its analysis or details. Use the Overview, Moments, Measurements, and Errors tabs to inspect the outcome.
Step 4
To build charts, run statistical analyses, or produce a formatted report over the run data, open the Analyse module. Analyse: Overview is the entry point to Dashboards, Reports, Analysis, and Datasources. Analyse renders against the datasources you configured, so results only appear once a datasource holds run data.
Verify the result
You can see historical test runs, filter the list, open a run, and review its outcome details. From the Analyse module you can open the run data in a dashboard, analysis, or report.
Troubleshooting
- If you see Unlock Load & Performance Testing and an Activate License button instead of test results, activate Module LG050 before reviewing historical runs.
- If the list is empty, confirm that at least one test has completed and clear any From, To, Load Profile, or Status filters.
- If a run detail view fails to load, select Retry in the details view or return to the results table and open the run again.
- If an Analyse page shows no data, confirm a datasource is configured for Testing on Configuration: Datasources and that the selected time range covers a completed run.
